The Story of The Dharma Store

There are two of us, and our vegan journey began in 2015.

At the time, there was so much we didn't know about food, animal cruelty, GMOs, and the many other issues connected to the choices we were making. As we learned more, we began making changes to our lifestyle.

It wasn't always easy. In the beginning, everywhere we turned there seemed to be milk, cheese, eggs, meat, processed foods, high-fructose corn syrup, and countless other ingredients we had never really thought about. We were also accustomed to eating those foods, so changing our habits was challenging.

Then one day, we saw someone wearing a t-shirt with a vegan message. The person looked fit and healthy, and we became curious. We didn't know much about veganism at the time, so we decided to do some research.

That curiosity led us to watch documentaries, read, learn, and take a much closer look at what we were eating and why.

That was a turning point for us.

We cleaned out our refrigerator and pantry and began making very different choices about the food we bought and the lifestyle we wanted to live. It became a journey of learning that continues to this day.

Along the way, we realized how powerful something as simple as a t-shirt with a message could be.

A shirt can start a conversation.

A message can make someone curious.

And curiosity can lead someone to learn something that changes the way they see the world.

That's what inspired The Dharma Store.

We wanted to create more than just clothing. We wanted to create designs that represent ideas we care about and give people a way to wear those ideas proudly.

Our goal is simple: fashion and awareness can go hand in hand.

We create products for people who want their clothing to reflect their convictions—and who want to be a small part of spreading messages that may inspire others to think, question, learn, and make changes of their own.

Because there may be a future vegan out there who hasn't discovered that path yet.

And maybe, someday, they'll see you wearing one of our designs.
